The number one cause for “slowing down” is pain from arthritis. Dogs and Cats have an instinct to hide their pain so they usually do not cry out. They are more likely to show their suffering by any or all of the following signs:

 Shaking

 Panting

 Reluctance to jump

 Reclusive

 Seeming deaf

 Being snappy

Seeming weak in the hind legs

Getting up or laying down slower than normal

 Change in personality

 Tiring easily

 Lagging behind on walks

 Appearing stiff after resting

Arthritis can be very painful, but fortunately, after having it diagnosed by a veterinarian, there is a simple treatment plan for an arthritic pet. They can be pain free, and become an active and happy member of the family again. If you notice any of these signs make your appointment today so your pet can be pain free.
