• Dr. Amrit Rai, D.V.M.
Dr. Rai graduated from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa in 1993. She also has a Masters degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Panjab Agricultural University, Panjab, India. She is a fear free certified veterinarian, a program that teaches how to provide the least amount of stress possible to our patients while providing the utmost veterinary care. She is also an USDA APHIS certified veterinarian and can help with any travel needs, whether global or statewide.
Dr. Rai started practicing veterinary medicine starting in 1993 and did relief work as a veterinarian in a variety of hospital settings all across Southern California. She moved to Phoenix, AZ in the year 2000 and has been practicing in the Phoenix valley ever since. She also has been a member of the Investigative Committee of the Arizona Veterinary Medical Examining Board for several years. Dr. Rai has two dogs, a handsome Yorkshire Terrier named "Lego", whom she rescued from a previous place of work and another Yorkie mix rescue, "Lyla", in addition to two sons who keep her more than occupied when she is not practicing medicine.

Julie is our office manager and a graduate of University of Phoenix. She has over 20 years experience in the veterinary field, working at Sugarloaf Animal Clinic. She has two dogs, an American Bulldog named Eve and a Boston Terrrier named Otto. In her leisure time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, wake boarding, hiking, boating, duning, snow boarding, and horseback riding. In the last couple of years she is also trying to be more environmentally friendly and started not only recycling but composting too, which she uses for her vegetable and fruit garden (which Eve loves to dig in!). She also keeps quite busy with her four children, Sabrina, Kai, London and Madison. She attended Fear Free certification classes as well and is very passionate about making the veterinary visit with your fur babies as least stressful for them as possible.
Pualani is our veterinary technician and also attended Fear free certification classes. She graduated from veterinary technician school in 1988 with an associates in animal science and has enjoyed being a veterinary technician ever since. She has worked at different animal hospitals throughout the country. She loves her children, horses, dogs, and cat. You can find her trail riding or spending time with her family on her days off. Many people ask about her name, her mother was from Hawaii and her name is hawaiian pronounced Puw-aa-LAA-Niy which means, heavenly flower. She certainly lives up to her name she is always smiling, helpful, and kind to our patients and clients!
Sabrina has been in the veterinary field for over twenty years. She has experience in emergency care, general practice, and exotics including Tigers, Lynxes, bobcats, and kangaroos. She enjoys continuing education and has attended several seminars extending her knowledge and keeping current. Some of the most recent seminars attended, covered topics, such as Fear Free courses, dentistry, surgery and veterinary software. She is a Phoenix native and enjoys playing pool, going to the movies and bowling. Her loves of her life are her rescued dog, Peanut and cat, Felix. Sabrina is very knowledgeable Veterinary technician and will love to answer any questions you might have and shower your pet with lots of love, affection and treats!
