As we discussed in the last blog, November is Adopt a Senior Pet month. November also stands for thankfulness. We wanted to say how thankful we are of caring people like our technician, Audy Wade, who came to the rescue of a senior pet. She agreed to open her home and heart and foster Boomer, a 10 year old, hound dog mix. His owner fell into health problems and was no longer able to keep his beloved dog because of a change in housing but vowed that when he got back on his feet he would return for Boomer. Audy introduced Boomer to her other two hound dogs and they instantly bonded. The whole house fell in love with Boomer. Boomer enjoyed daily hikes with his foster family, love and attention and cuddling up on any sofa, chair, or bed that was not taken. After four months there was a bittersweet ending, Boomer’s dad came for him and although, it was very sad to see Boomer go, they were very happy to reunite him with his dad. We are so thankful that people like Audy are out there to help a senior pet and his owner in need!!!
